SOME OF IMPORTANT PROJECTS HANDLED

We have handled numerous project imports under various import schemes. A few of the important assignments handled are:

1) Rough Marble Blocks, Vrindaban
We have handled a very special project of 36000 Metric Tonnes of marble blocks in 1800 containers at Vrindavan. Our scope of services for this project included co-ordination from port of loading, Customs clearance at ICD, Tughlakabad, Transportation & destuffing at site / ICD, Tughlakabad. The sizes of rough marble blocks varied from 25 Metric Tonnes to 7 Tonnes (each block). We have already delivered 26000 Metric Tonnes of marble blocks at Vrindaban site.

2) Thermal Power Project, Himachal Pradesh
We have handled turnkey job for a thermal power project in Himachal Pradesh. The project comprised imports of second hand power project equipment from Edinburg, UK. This project involved complete dismantling, packing and lifting from port of loading and delivery of the equipment at project site in Himachal Pradesh. The total capital goods import was in break bulk, containers and crates including ODC shipments. One Turbine wt. 73 TONS.

3) Battery Plant, Gurgaon
We have handled Second Hand Project Imports under EPCG Scheme for the Battery Plant at Gurgaon. The value of the project was Rs. 96 crores (approx.) involving 176 no’s of 20’, 40’, 40’ HC & open top containers.

4) Textile Unit, Jaipur
We have handled Second Hand Project Imports under EPCG Scheme for the Textile Unit at Jaipur. The value of the project was Rs. 27 crores involving 260 containers.

5) Toughened Glass, Faridabad
We have handled Second Hand Project Imports under EPCG & OGL Scheme for the Toughened Glass Manufacturing Plant. The value of the two projects (at Faridabad and Pune) was Rs. 47 crores comprising of complete test laboratory equipment’s and testing equipment’s and involved 190 containers.

6) Air Conditioning Chillers
In 1996, R K Clearing Pvt. Ltd. was the first CHA Company to bring AC Chillers from Peak Duty to Concessional Duty i.e. change in classification from Air Conditioning Machine to Heat Exchange Unit. Since then we have cleared approx. 800 units of capacity varying from 50 tons to 500 tons for Trane – USA, Carrier and Voltas, who are pioneers in Chiller business.

These projects involved the complete job of Customs clearance, transportation to site, unpacking and then lifting / shifting of Air Conditioning Chillers to rooftops or basements in high rise buildings upto a height of 60 meters using various equipment’s viz. fork lifts, hydraulic lifts, cranes & chain pulley blocks etc. etc. These jobs were done when buildings were completed with all glass fittings at the exterior sides.

12) Magneti Marelli Powertrain India Pvt. Ltd.

A J.V. with Maruti Suzuki for manufacturing of PCB used in manufacture of Automobiles. Capital Goods worth Rs.60 Crore cleared under EPCG both by AIR & SEA.

Regular Volume Imports of :

1. M/s LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., Greater Noida.

We handle 500-600 TEU p.m.

2. Blue Star Ltd.

We handle 150-200 TEU p.m.

3. Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd.

We handle 200-250 p.m. imports by air consignments.

We are presently handling approximately 750 containers (both TEU’s & FEU’s) of regular imports and 60-65 containers of regular exports per month by Sea.

In addition to this we are also handling 200 LCL import shipments per month by Sea.

We are handling 300-400 import consignments per month by Air.

TURNOVER

RKC's year 2008 sales turnover was over INR 40 million (this figure did not include any duty or freights a/c of Importer / Exporter) and handled Imports worth INR.1600 Crores and Exports worth INR 73 Crores. Our SEA Operations handled 9000 T.E.U. containers (approx.) and 9500 documents (approx.) of Imports and Exports while AIR Operations handled 3800 Import consignments. We have achieved growth rate of 15% comparing to the previous year.
